Thyme Garden |
“There’s never enough thyme” says the sign at this garden, and there isn’t, even though we grow over thirty-five varieties! Thymes are of two types, low-growing creepers or upright shrubby plants. All of them are highly fragrant. There are lemon, orange, caraway, nutmeg, lavender, pine, and oregano scented thymes. Some have silver leaves, or gold-and-green variegated leaves, but most are a glossy deep green. Some have rounded leaves, and some are needle-like. All of them are loved by bees and fairies! Many make excellent teas. |
